Husky tours in central Sweden as an alternative to Lapland

Nord-Dalarna lies in central Sweden, which makes it fairly quick and inexpensive to reach from central Europe. The wilderness lodge is located 270 km north of Oslo airport and is easy to get to by plane, bus or car. Snow lies here from December until the end of April, and there are more moose than people. Wolves and bears, lynx, moose and reindeer roam the land.

The climate is continental with cold winters. There is a comparatively large amount of sunshine. Even in the depths of winter there is still fairly long daylight, which is a clear advantage over Lapland. The high-lying areas of Nord-Dalarna are comparable to Lapland in terms of reliable snow.

The breathtaking mountain landscape is very varied. This makes Nord-Dalarna a good alternative to Lapland for husky tours. It is the area of the southern Kungsleden and one of the most beautiful regions in Sweden.
