For more than 1,000 years, Alaskan Malamutes and Greenland Dogs have done draught work for the Inuit of the Arctic regions. Pulling comes naturally to them, it is anchored in their genes, they enjoy the work and you don't have to teach them at all. In fact, it is very hard to train them out of it. With us, they are allowed to follow the passion that has been in them for more than 1,000 years.
Hendrik Stachnau has set himself the goal of mastering the longest and toughest sled dog races in the world with the original sled dogs, the Alaskan Malamutes and Greenland Dogs, so that these wonderful animals are not forgotten.
The dogs stay with Voice of Nature for their whole lives, from birth into old age. They are trained through the summer as well, so they can follow their calling all year round. In summer, training with a wheeled cart usually takes place at night, when it is pleasantly cool for the dogs. The secret of Hendrik's racing career of more than 30 years is his passion for these animals!
