By plane via Oslo
We recommend flights to Oslo Gardermoen, the international airport north of Oslo (Scandinavia's largest). Many German cities fly there directly. Directly from Gardermoen Airport, regional buses (Trysilekspressen) run several times a day to Trysil, about 170 km away (bus station: Trysil Turistsenteret). Travel time: 2 hours 25 minutes. At the Trysil Turistsenteret bus stop a member of the Wilderness Lodge team will pick you up at the time of arrival. Suitable departure times for the Trysilekspressen at Oslo Airport are Sundays at 2:45 p.m. and Wednesdays at 11:45 a.m. On Saturdays and Wednesdays the Trysilekspressen returns to Oslo Airport at 12:55 p.m. Bus timetable

You can also rent a standard hire car at Oslo Airport and drive the 270 km directly to the Wilderness Lodge near Särna. You should try to arrive at the Wilderness Lodge between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
By plane via Stockholm
You can also fly to Stockholm and take the train from there to Mora (tickets). From Mora you can continue by regional bus and/or our transfer to Särna and on to the Wilderness Lodge. At Mora Station a Wilderness Lodge team member will pick you up. Our transfer from Mora to the Wilderness Lodge and back to Mora costs €50 per person in total.
From Stockholm / Arlanda Airport to the Wilderness Lodge near Särna it is 430 km — a drive that can also be done comfortably by your own car or a hire car.
By ferry directly between Germany and Sweden
If you would like to travel by car from Germany directly to Sweden, the ferry route Rostock — Trelleborg is ideal.
By ferry via Oslo
Take the overnight ferry with Color Line from Kiel to Oslo. The crossing on these luxury ships is already a holiday experience: restaurants, bars, disco, cinema and casino create a cruise-like atmosphere. The ferries leave Kiel at 2:00 p.m. and arrive in Norway the next morning at around 9:30 a.m. You sleep in cabins so you arrive in Oslo well rested. From the harbour, bus or taxi takes you within a few minutes to the central bus station. From there the Trysilekspressen runs to Trysil (about 3.5 hours), where we pick you up.
By car
The most comfortable way is the overnight ferry with Color Line from Kiel to Oslo. From there it is only 320 km to the Wilderness Lodge, leaving time for some exploration of Oslo. Alternatively, take Scandlines via Denmark to Sweden, or Stena Line from Kiel to Gothenburg.
